BIG BANG MOSAICS

Artist / Creative (Individual)

Cynthia Fisher is the go-to artist for all things MOSAIC. I made my first mosaic in July of 2000. At the time I was a Children’s Book Illustrator, often considered a dream job - but for me, being a mosaic artist fulfills this statement. Discovering this medium was a revelation, was falling in love, was finding my true artistic calling. My passion and enthusiasm for the mosaic medium has never waned. With close to 25 years as a full time artist, my artistic and technical skills run deep. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise with all that are looking for anything and everything mosaic, from commissions to residencies, community projects to workshops, one on one consulting to public art. Also it is important for me to create my own work. I continue to experiment with the medium working both representationally and my favorite approach, abstractly. My personal work is thematically driven, you can see this in the 9 portfolios on the Fine Art page of my website, BIGBANGMOSAICS.com.

Specifics with regard to what I offer:

  • Mosaic murals, from design to fabrication to installation, any size, interior/exterior
  • School residencies where students create drawings and also fabricate the final mural, grades k-12
  • 2 day workshops in my studio in western MA, I also teach at regional craft centers
