ArtWorks Westfield presents ...
 
ArtWorks Downtown WinterWalk, a hybrid of the traditional urban art walk and elements of the European outdoor winter markets, will feature art, music, shopping and dining, in-store demos and exhibitions spread out across downtown Westfield from Franklin Street to Court Street and all points in between.
 
Take a leisurely stroll through the heart of the city to experience awesome art work by local and regional artists (hint, hint, hint … art makes a wonderful holiday gift!); live music in some very unexpected places, a wishing tree and a FREE holiday ornament creation station; hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies; and St Nick, holiday carolers and snow flake painting at the Park Square Gazebo, to name some of the many activities happening during WinterWalk, while supporting our downtown shops and boutiques, fine eateries, coffee shops, bakeries, cafes and pubs, as you meander along the walkways of the city and explore all downtown Westfield has to offer.

A collaborative experience with many downtown Westfield small businesses and community organizations including Hutghti’s At The Nook, Westfield On Weekends, Blended Vintage Marketplace, Mina’s Wine & Spirits, Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, Lambson Square, Chrissy G’s and the School Street Merchants, this event is FREE to the community!
The walk from Hutghi’s At The Nook on Franklin Street to School Street is a very easy and interesting stroll along the walkway from The Nook, past the Franklin Street Parking Lot to Arnold Street to the Olver Transit Pavilion, to the Downtown Public Plaza to Blended Vintage Marketplace to School. Fun stroll! Then make your way back to Franklin Street via Elm Street for the full WinterWalk experience!
 
ARTISTS ALONG ELM and THE SCHOOL STREET PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY
School Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Elm Street to Central Street and transformed into a pedestrian walkway, featuring local and regional artists showcasing their work in pop up display tents similar to outdoor European winter markets. Artists will also be featured along Elm Street between School and Church Street.
 
ART IN UNUSUAL PLACES ~ OLVER TRANSIT PAVILION
As part of our Art In Unusual Places Series, artists will be displaying their work inside the Olver Transit Pavilion, located on Arnold Street adjacent to the new Downtown Public Plaza, as well as along the sidewalk outside the transit pavilion.
Additionally, artists will showcase their work in several former retail locations along Elm Street including the old George’s Jewelers. Several pop up galleries will be located in shops, restaurants and cafes along Elm Street from School Street to Franklin Street.
 
LIVE MUSIC AT THE MAPLE LEAF
Music by local and regional performers will take place at the Maple Leaf Pub located at 11 Arnold Street, immediate across the street from the pop up art show at the Olver Transit Pavilion.
 
HUTGHI'S AT THE NOOK NIGHT MARKET; 2pm to 8pm featuring artisan vendors, crafters, curated fleas, live jazz, carolers, Santa, mulled wine and a very special menus that will knock your socks off!
 
WINE TASTING AT MINA’S WINE & SPIRITS
 
BLENDED VINTAGE MARKETPLACE featuring live art demonstrations
 
WESTFIELD ON WEEKENDS featuring Santa, free hot chocolate and the “Inspired: Two Centuries of Westfield Art” exhibition, featuring artists from Westfield past and present. The WOW Creative Arts gallery is located at 105 Elm Street, almost immediately across from the pop up art show at the Olver Transit Pavilion.
