Berkshire Piano Academy: Public Masterclasses, Open Studio & Performances August 10–15, 2026 | Saint James Place, Great Barrington

The Berkshire Piano Academy invites audiences behind the scenes of classical music performance, offering a rare opportunity to observe the artistic process as it unfolds.

Throughout the week, eight exceptional young pianists from around the world will work closely with acclaimed faculty Martin Labazevitch and Golda Vainberg-Tatz, joined this year by legendary pianist Horacio Gutiérrez. Public masterclasses offer an intimate window into the conversation between teacher and student—the moments of refinement, discovery, and musical growth that are seldom seen outside a conservatory.

The week's public events include Horacio Gutiérrez masterclasses on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons (2:00–5:00 p.m.), an Open Studio: Works in Progress on Wednesday from 5:00–7:30 p.m., and the Academy's culminating Student Performances on Saturday, August 15, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
