Beyond the Horizon: Recent Paintings by Cameron Schmitz: Artist's Reception

Cameron Schmitz has been painting since she picked up a brush at the University of New Hampshire where she received her BFA in Painting; Drawing in 2003. She went on to study oil painting further, earning her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, PA in 2006, in addition to studies at Studio Arts Centers International in Florence, Italy. In 2007 she moved to Vermont after doing artist and staff-artist residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, and then eventually migrated further south to Western Massachusetts when deciding to raise a family. She now resides in Greenfield with her husband and children, where she maintains her painting studio and takes daily walks in the woods with their dog.
