Birding at The Mount

Mass Audubon naturalists Zach Adams and Dale Abrams will lead a free bird walk to explore Edith Wharton’s Berkshire historic home, including its woods, wetlands, and meadows. Learn skills to bird by sight and sound as we look for numerous bird species, including bobolinks, woodpeckers, vireos, and warblers. Walks depart from the main parking lot.

Groups are limited, and Mass Audobon can’t take walk-ins right now, for safety, so you will need to save space ahead. You will need to dress for the weather and prepare for uneven terrain. This is a popular program and tends to sell out well ahead, they say, and they ask everyone please to limit their sign-ups to two dates at a time.
