Bookends Winter Book Discussion: The Authenticity Project

Date/Time

Location

Greenfield Public Library (402 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301, Greenfield MA)

Welcome to Bookends, a collaboration between Greenfield Public Library and Greenfield Community College. We meet four times a year to read and discuss books that appeal to a wide range of ages from teen to senior citizen. Our goal is to bring readers of different generations and backgrounds together and spark conversations that unite our community. In February we’ll be discussing The Authenticity Project by Claire Pooley.

The Authenticity Project is a  novel about a lonely elderly artist who starts a project by writing the truth about his life in a notebook and leaving it at a local café, which then inspires others to do the same, leading to unexpected connections and a community of people sharing their genuine selves, rather than curated online personas; essentially exploring the idea of what would happen if people were truly honest about their lives with each other.

The book discussion will be held on Thursday, February 13 , from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at the Greenfield Public Library.

Copies of The Authenticity Project are available for check out at Greenfield Public Library and the Nahman-Watson Library at GCC.
