Carol's Jazz Night Presents Interstellar Medium

Expect to be blown away by Interstellar Medium’s maturity and exceptional talent. Bringing new life to jazz classics and originals. Avery Joi, singer has been performing since she was in high school. Her voice is a mix of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn and her scatting and vocalize chops are incredible. Drummer Jahian Cooper-Monize has also been playing since middle school and he and Avery spent several years in New York City honing their skills and studying at the William Patterson University jazz program. The old man of the group is pianist Michael Carabello, a recent graduate of the Hartt School of music in Hartford studying with Rene Mclean. The youngest member of the group is the incredibly talented bassist Aeneas Strozier a dual engineering and music major. Rounding out the group are trumpeter Ian Behrstock and alto sax player Danny Trainor respectively students at Amherst College and UMASS Amherst. These musicians are the future of the true American music, Jazz.
