Celebrate the Freedom to Read at the Greenfield Public Library!
Greenfield Public Library (402 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301, Greenfield MA)
Grab a book and head to the GPL for Let Freedom Read, a statewide read-in to celebrate the freedom to read, on Tuesday, October 3.
The Friends of the Greenfield Public Library will be on hand to offer snacks to readers. Staff will prepare a selection of their favorite books from the past year to help inspire a day of reading at the library.
Digital participation is also welcomed. Download an eBook or audiobook through CWMARS, Libby, or Hoopla, and use #LetFreedomReadMA to post pictures to social media. For a complete list of participating libraries go to libraries.state.ma.us
Let Freedom Read is supported by your local library, and the Joint Task Force for Intellectual Freedom with members from the Massachusetts Library Association, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, the Massachusetts Library System, and the Massachusetts School Library Association.
This program, generously supported by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to everyone.
