Community Action Book Club

Date/Time

Location

Smith College (10 Elm St, Northampton, MA 01063, Northampton MA)

Because our next regular meeting date falls on the RPL Spring Holiday, we will meet one week early on April 11th. We will discuss The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. Come early to view the 2017 90-minute film featuring Oprah Winfrey and Rose Byrne.* Join us on the third Friday of every month for our new monthly book club. Formerly the Hull Street Book Club, the Community Action Book Cub will read and discuss books on Topics That Matter! --Everything from romantic green spaces and urban housing patterns, to food sustainability and book bans, to children's literacy and homeschooling, to chemicals in our food to medical bias concerns--and then we'll discuss ways of keeping up with what's happening or possibly taking action. Meet new friends and neighbors and read about topics that matter to RVA community members! Bring your lunch and come early to help decide on book selections. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! *If this time is inconvenient for you, suggest a few better times (before and/or after the 11th) and we'll schedule a second viewing.
