The Amherst Community Band is a vibrant, all-ages ensemble based in Amherst, that brings together musicians from across the Pioneer Valley. Open to everyone—regardless of age or musical background—the band offers a welcoming space for community members to rehearse and perform together.
The band is conducted by Dr. Timothy Todd Anderson, Director of the award-wining power and class of New England - the UMass Minuteman Marching Band
The BID is proud to support this Amherst summer tradition! Patrons are encouraged to eat, shop, and explore Downtown Amherst, before and after the concert. Bringing a lawn chair, blanket, and takeout from a local restaurant to Sweetser Park is very much welcome!
