Path of the Masters to Host Community Creative Celebration in Holyoke

Free, open-mic show and tell  community connection gathering on August 8 invites writers, artists, and musicians to share their work and connect with fellow creatives.

HOLYOKE, Mass. — Path of the Masters, a Holyoke-based modern day mystery school, will host a Community Creative Celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The free event invites local writers, poets, artists, and musicians to share their work in an evening of , connection, and creative exchange.

The celebration is open to anyone with a story, poem, book, piece of art, or instrument to share — and to those who simply want to listen and connect. Organizers describe the event as a chance for “fellow prosies and new pals” to gather in a relaxed, supportive setting, rain or shine, at Path of the Masters’ Holyoke location at 181 Linden Street.

The event will feature contributions from several local authors and presenters, including Jodi Powers, founder of Path of the Masters and author of Train Your Triggers; Dr. Kenzie Rhodes; and Adam Butler, author of The Alchemist Years. The three are also collaborating contributors to the forthcoming book Dark Night of the Soul (DNOTS), which will be highlighted at the event alongside their individual work.

“Inspiration, passion, and desire to share and connect with fellow creatives and new friends — that’s what this celebration is about,” said Jodi Powers, founder of Path of the Masters. “We want to meet you, whatever you bring — or even if you just bring yourself.”

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring stories, poems, books, artwork, or instruments to share. The event takes place rain or shine.
