Artist, Ricki Carroll has snorkeled in the waters off the island of Culebra for 45 years amidst living coral and has witnessed the death of reefs and decline in fish and turtles. She learned about the *'Crochet Coral Reef'* project begun by Christine and Margaret Wertheim for the *Institute for Figuring*, responding to Climate Change, based on applied math and evolutionary theory bring people together from all over the world and taught herself how to crochet.
