Dear Banned Author: Postcards

Did you know that popular authors like Dave Pilkey (author of Captain Underpants), Toni Morrison (author of The Bluest Eye, Beloved, and more), Margaret Atwood (author of The Handmaid's Tale) and John Green (author of Looking for Alaska) have all had their books challenged or banned in recent years across the United States? "Dear Banned Author is a letter-writing campaign hosted during Banned Books Week. Readers are encouraged to write to their favorite banned authors, sharing what their stories meant to them." Drop-in between 6pm-7:30pm to decorate a postcard and write a celebratory note to one of your favorite banned authors! SPL is resisting censorship this Banned Books Week, one postcard at a time!
