Stomp through the Connecticut River Valley and beyond to uncover the local history of dinosaurs at an array of dinosaur events. Dino Trail Week is being held July 11th - 19th, with so many events to explore. Events are being hosted by Piti Theatre, Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, the Beneski Museum of Natural History, Springfield Museums, Wistariahurst Museum, Great Falls Discovery Center, Jurassic Roadshow, Dinosaur State Park and The Trustees of Reservations’ Dinosaur Footprints in Holyoke. These organizations offer a series of family-friendly events to engage people of all ages with our region's unique dinos and local history.

All events are free or free with general admission tickets.

  • Saturday, 7/11: Dinosaur Footprints at Barton Cove: History and Geology from 1 - 2 pm (Rain date, Saturday, July 18)

  • Sunday, 7/12: ART NATURALLY: Gel Printing Trace Fossils at The Great Falls Discovery Center 10:30—12:30 pm, Great Hall

  • Monday, 7/13-Friday, 7/17: Dino Drama Workshop at Greenfield Public Library from 10 am - noon

  • Tuesday, 7/14 - Holyoke Dino Foot Print Site Visit at Wistariahurst Museum and Dino Foot Print Site, Rt. 5, in Holyoke

  • Tuesday, 7/14: Dino Wizards at the Holyoke Mall at 3 pm (Story Wizards with a dinosaur theme)

  • Wednesday, 7/15: Dino Trail Day at the Beneski Museum of Natural History, 10 am – 3 pm

  • Wednesday, 7/15: Dino Wizards at the Greenfield Public Library, 6 pm

  • Thursday, 7/16: Evolution Revolution at Springfield Museums from 11 am - 3 pm

  • Thursday, 7/16: Geologic Walking Tour of Turners Falls from 10 - 11 am at Great Falls Discovery Center

  • Thursday, 7/16: Museum Tour & Track Talk at Dinosaur State Park at 1 pm

  • Friday, 7/17: Kidleidoscope Story Hour: Dinosaurs at The Great Falls Discovery Center 10:30 —11:30 am

  • Saturday, 7/18: Great Greenfield DinoFest, 10 am - noon on the lawn in front of the 2nd Congregational Church on the Common

  • Sunday, 7/19: Dino Family Fun Day at Wistariahurst Museum, 12 pm-3 pm

  • Sunday, July 19: Art Naturally: Make Your Own Jurassic Dinosaur Habitat Diorama and Collage Workshop 10:30—12:30 pm, Great Hall
