Filmed over the first 12 years, Eve of My Awakening intimately shares a father's reflections, delights and struggles while parenting Eve, his daughter who has Down Syndrome. The film confronts the complexities of raising a child with special needs within our highly competitive society and ultimately reveals the joy and liberation shared between father, daughter and family.

Eve turned 18 this year and is now moving into a new chapter of young adulthood! Despite how awesome Eve is, she will need significant support throughout her life, and as a result Ted and I have created a trust to help support her. So far we have raised $75,000 of our $100,000 goal thanks to the generosity of close friends and family. We are turning to our community to help us raise the remaining $25,000 needed to meet our goal.

This event is a kick off for the final stretch of our fundraiser and the premiere of Eve Of My Awakening. After the screening there will be a Q & A with Eve and her family and a reception with refreshments. Please join us for this inspiring evening!
