Exploring the Art of West African Doll Making with Belinda Lyons Zucker
Sunday, April 24, 1-4pm
$75 includes all your materials, maximum 10 students.
From Senegal to Angola, the tradition of doll making and their many uses will stretch the definition of dolls as playthings. Belinda will discuss some of the different traditions of doll making from West Africa during the workshop. You may choose what to incorporate into creating your own doll and what meaning it might have for you.

During this fun and informative workshop participants will make a wall doll using materials provided. You may also bring beads, baubles, string, your broken favorite jewelry and a small piece of fabric to complete your creation. Knowledge of sewing is helpful but not essential.
Workshop is held at Salmon Falls Gallery in Shelburne Falls, MA. For more information, visit SalmonFallsGallery.com or call 413.625.9833.
