First Sunday Free: Sensational Serpent
Date/Time
Location
Clark Museum, Williamstown MA (225 South St, Williamstown, MA 01267, Williamstown MA)
First Sunday Free is back, and for the next six months our focus is Ground/work 2025, the Clark's outdoor sculpture exhibition! This month, celebrate architect Javier Senosiain's mosaic serpent sculpture Coata III. This monumental sculpture playfully emerges from the waters of Schow Pond. From 1–4 pm, see real live snakes and then mirror their scales and slithers with colorful mosaics and splashy watercolors. At 2 pm, join a Clark educator for an all-ages engagement with this sensational serpent and experience how it twists and turns from different perspectives. Each month, make your own mini sculpture inspired by one of the six sculptures in the exhibition and add it to our growing Ground/work 2025-inspired mural.
