A guided, easy, 2-mile walk along Holyoke’s canal system. Explore the history of this fascinating planned industrial city, its engineering prowess, mill operation, and the power of water along the first and second level canals.

Tour is free and open to all. Meet at Holyoke Heritage State Park Visitor Center. Although the bridges on Appleton Street are closed, the free parking lot at 221 Appleton is accessible. After parking, follow the sidewalk, passing the Merry-Go-Round. Go left at the fork up to the Visitor Center.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Rain or extreme heat may cancel. Registration requested by callling 413-534-1723.
