Inspired by Nature - from Forest to Shoreline

This collection of paintings, weaving, felting, and glasswork has been created by sisters-in-law Susan E. McDowell and Katherine McDowell McGough. Each piece has been inspired by their ties to Massachusetts. Katherine specializes in fashion illustration and design but also reignited her love of drawing animals and nature as a newly certified Scientific Illustrator. Sue has been working with glass since 2002, enthralled with it since playing marbles as a child. Her wet and needle felted landscapes are explorations for subsequent work that she develops in glass, on her floor or tapestry loom or in complex needle felted pieces. Both women bring a multitude of talents to bear in sharing their joy of nature in creative and beautiful ways.
