Intro to Watercolor

Join artist Melissa Beyer and unleash your creativity with the beautiful, portable medium of watercolor! In this beginner class, we will practice wet on wet and wet on dry painting, washes, glazing, use of value, and other techniques. We will also complete several projects using our new skills. Note that this is the same curriculum as previous beginner watercolor classes, so we ask that anyone who has already taken the class please refrain from signing up again to give others a chance. Thank you! PREREQUISITES: None. ATTENDANCE: Please only sign up if you are able to attend all four classes, as each builds on the previous and projects are worked across multiple classes. The first class is mandatory, as per the instructor. SUPPLIES: Students should bring a notebook to class. All other supplies will be provided. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the popularity of our art programs, the Millbury Public Library will approve patrons by lottery and require that you arrive five to ten minutes early for the class. If you are not on time, your registration will be cancelled. Late arrivals will not be accepted into the program, and that space will be filled with patrons from the waiting list. Once the program has begun, a sign will be posted on the doors to let patrons know that they cannot enter after this time, out of respect for the presenter.
