A Tribute to Global Female Composers, an engaging and empowering concert featuring music written by women from around the world, on October 22, 2023, at 3pm in CitySpace’s Blue Room at Old Town Hall at 43 Main St. Easthampton, MA. The concert will include music by Emahoy Tsegue-Maryam Guebrou (Ethiopia), Karen Tanaka (Japan), Lotti Amit-Kalev (Israel), Valerie Capers (US), and some genre-bending surprises. Stories from the lives of these remarkable women will be woven into the musical sets, making for a moving, uplifting, and connective afternoon. In addition to Sophie’s solo sets, there will be a special guest artist appearance, and the audience will be invited to participate in an engaging and joyful singalong. The concert will be suitable for all ages, and families are welcome.
