What makes Star Wars the biggest franchise in movie history? Why do millions of people dream of Frodo and Sam nearly seventy years after The Lord of the Rings was published? From Gilgamesh to “Game of Thrones,” speculative fiction mines the deepest recesses of our hearts and speaks to the grandest truths of our existence. In this course we’ll work through the core principles of writing spec fic and discover how to write the stories we’ve always dreamt of telling.
There are no prerequisites; this is a class for all skill levels, from beginning writers to advanced poets and authors. All you need to bring is an active imagination and a pen!
