Enjoy the virtuosic musicianship of Kwartetto Mambo, 7pm on Thursday, August 27 at Peskeompskut Park, Avenue A and Seventh Street in downtown Turners Falls, MA. This free performance of contemporary Afro-Latin jazz is sponsored by RiverCulture and the Montague Cultural Council.
Based in Southern Vermont, Kwartetto Mambo blends jazz, African, and Cuban musical traditions with imaginative pop rearrangements. The quartet features four composer-performers who are staples of the New England music scene including John Clark (French horn), Wes Brown (Bass/piano), Julian Gerstin (Congas/percussion) and Dan DeWalt (trombone).
