Literary Open Bar

The LAVA Center (324 Main St., Greenfield, MA 01301)

The Literary Open Bar is back!

A loosely formatted reading/discussion group whose purpose is to have voices be heard, and includes, but is not limited to: readings of one's own or other author's work of any genre, discussion of authors, their work, their books, their relevance in general or to the individual, writing routines/rituals, exploring the philosophy of language, the creation of meaning and the vagaries of communication, comparing the spoken word, the written word, and what is heard.

The hope is that the discussions will begin a thread that then follows its own path and will, in turn, inspire the attendees in their own work.

Moderated by local author, exploring the landscape of language, Michael Travisano.
