Date/Time

Location

Greenfield Public Library (402 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301, Greenfield MA)

Good books, good tea & good company. What could be better to end your busy day? Literary Teas combines literary works of fiction with cozy cups of local tea, from Greenfield’s local tea shop: Alchemy of Avalon. Join Lisa and Diane for a GPL discussion of The Murder of Mr. Wickham, by Claudia Gray, on Thursday, April 27, at 7 pm via Zoom.

A summer house party turns into a thrilling whodunit when Jane Austen's Mr. Wickham—one of literature’s most notorious villains—meets a sudden and suspicious end in this brilliantly imagined mystery featuring Austen’s leading literary characters.

Nearly everyone at the house party is a suspect, so it falls to the party’s two youngest guests to solve the mystery: Juliet Tilney, the smart and resourceful daughter of Catherine and Henry, eager for adventure beyond Northanger Abbey; and Jonathan Darcy, the Darcys’ eldest son, whose adherence to propriety makes his father seem almost relaxed.

Copies of the book are available at the Library. To register for the Zoom link, request a copy, and reserve your cup of tea, go to librarian@greenfieldpubliclibrary.org.

This program, made possible through the generosity of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to the public.
