Duston Spear moved to Montague Center a year ago and turned the ground floor of the former livery barn behind her house into a studio for both of her practices: art and writing. Her debut novel BIRD GIRL is forthcoming from Black Rose Writing in 2026.
BIRD GIRL is a story about SoHo in the '70s, as related by Rebekah Hunnicutt, a reclusive painter now living in Western Massachusetts.
