Molly Comstock — Many Forks Farm
Date/Time
Location
Williams College (880 Main St., Williamstown, MA 01267, Williamstown MA)
Molly Comstock, the farmer at Many Forks Farm in Clarksburg, will speak at Log Lunch on The Economics of A Small Farm. Learn about the challenges of being a young farmer in Massachusetts and Molly’s story that resulted in her acquiring a farm. All welcome at Log Lunch — the college holds free talks weekly, open to the community and to all, and students cook for all comers lunch. (They ask a very small contribution to help cover the cost.)
A tradition of the Center since 1972, Log Lunches are held on Fridays during the academic year at noon at the Log on Spring Street. Each week, a vegetarian lunch prepared by Williams students is served, followed by a talk on an environmental topic. Speakers are drawn from local, national, and international organizations.
Log Lunches are open to the community. The cost of each lunch (soup, salad, and homemade bread) is $4. Reservations are required so the cooks now how much to make.
