National Poetry Month at the GPL: Blackout Poetry Take & Make Kits

Date/Time

Location

Greenfield Public Library (402 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301, Greenfield MA)

Beginning Monday, April 4, stop by the Greenfield Public Library, pick up a Blackout Poetry Take & Make kit, and create your own poems.

Blackout poetry is created when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and redact words, in order to come up with your very own poetry! A form of “found’ poetry, this is a fun way to get the creative juices flowing, and a great cure for writer’s block because it forces you to look at words in a new way.

Kits are available, in limited supply, at the Main Circulation Desk.

This program, generously funded by the Friends of the Greenfield library, is free and intended for adults, but everyone is welcome to play!
