Native American Storytime with Dana Howling Wolf Keller
Date/Time
Join us for a special storytime celebrating the rich storytelling traditions of Native American culture.
Local student Dana Howling Wolf Keller, a proud member of the MHA Nation (Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation) of North Dakota, will share a Native American story that has been meaningful to her and her family: Grandmother's Dreamcatcher by Becky Ray McCain.
Through this story, children will learn about respect, community, and connection to the natural world—values deeply rooted in Indigenous traditions. Following the story, participants will have the opportunity to make a simple craft inspired by Native heritage and discuss what the story means to them.
This event honors Native voices and celebrates the importance of sharing stories across generations. All are welcome to attend and learn together in a spirit of curiosity, kindness, and cultural appreciation.
For grades 2-4 with an adult.
Registration for this event opens Saturday, November 8 at 9:00 AM at the link below.
