Northampton Woodwind Quintet Spring's Arrival
Date/Time
Location
Anchor House of Artists, the New England Visionary Artists Museum (518 Pleasant Street ground floor, Northampton MA)
The Northampton Woodwind Quintet is an ensemble dedicated to the literature, the voice, and the multiple personalities of the woodwind instrument. In addition to selections from the great Classical canon, they perform original compositions and transcriptions of works for other instruments.
The members of the quintet are Marie Fletcher, Flute; Joyce Schlef, Oboe; Roger Clapp, Bassoon; and Erin Lylis, French Horn. Each member brings remarkable credentials to the group and a fine ear, sensitive to each other's instrument. They can be counted on to produce a delightfully bright and emotional sound. They have a wide following in the Pioneer Valley and this performance will likely be sold out quickly, so the public is advised to sign up early.
On Sunday, March 13, doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the performance will begin at 4:00 p.m.
The galleries will be open before and after the performance.
