Visit the artist studio of writer and book artist Suzi Banks Baum in Great Barrington, Sunday October 8 from 1 to 4 PM. Berkshire residents have this rare opportunity to see Suzi’s work in person at her annual open studio event in her garage studio at 39 Hollenbeck Avenue in Great Barrington, MA. The day includes a demonstration of eco-dyeing paper, home-brewed floral inks, and hand carved stamps. Her artist books will be on view, along a selection of hand-bound books and her own decorative papers on sale. The artist will read from her recently published story in the Walloon Writers Review at 2:30 PM. Apple cider will be on hand for all. Please park on the street. Suzi Banks Baum dwells at the crossroad of literary and visual arts. A writer, mixed media, and book artist, she creates fresh traditions through the ceremony of daily creative practice with keen attention to the natural world. Banks Baum teaches daily creative practice for writers, artists, and creative thinkers in many settings. Originally trained as a theatre artist, Banks Baum’s collage work is featured in Storey publications *Collage Your Life* by Melanie Mowinski. Baum’s first book, *An Anthology of Babes*, features the work of artist mothers. Her award-winning writing can be found in The Good Life Review and Hypertext Magazine. A new work of fiction appears in the Walloon Writers Review in the summer of 2023.
