Opening reception: "Metamorphosis" at Wistariahurst Museum

Wistariahurst Museum is excited to announce the upcoming exhibit Metamorphosis, opening January 6th, 2026. This exhibit features artists who have attended one or more of the artist sessions held at Wistariahurst Museum. These sessions, led by artist and volunteer Linda Devine, serve as a way for local artists to network, share their work with one another, and develop as artists. The artist sessions have been held monthly since January of 2025, and the group of artists has strengthened their skills each session. To celebrate the growth these artists have made over the past year, they will be exhibiting their work in Wistariahurst’s gallery. Metamorphosis has a theme of change, which each artist has interpreted their own way through several mediums, from painting and sculpture, to writing. Artists express themes of personal change, changes in nature, fashion, culture, and more.

Artists featured in this exhibit include J. Arthur Birth, Natasha Colon Ortiz, Linda Devine, Lydia E Freytes Rodriguez, Emily Munsell, Maureen Naff, Catalina Rojas, Whit Kilpatrick Russell, Carolyn Ruszala, Deborah Skelly, Darlene Swiszcz, Chuck Collins, and Mike Worden.

The opening reception of Metamorphosis will be held on Tuesday, January 6th, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Wistariahurst is an artist-friendly space that encourages creativity and supports the growth of this region’s artists. Open Gallery Hours will be held from January 6th through February 24th on Mondays (10:00 am-2:00 pm) and Tuesdays (4:30 pm-6:30 pm), which will also be free and open to the public.

El Museo Wistariahurst se complace en anunciar la próxima exposición Metamorphosis, que se inaugurará el 6 de enero de 2026. Esta exposición presenta a artistas que han asistido a una o más de las sesiones de artistas celebradas en el Museo Wistariahurst. Estas sesiones, dirigidas por la artista y voluntaria Linda Devine, sirven como una forma para que los artistas locales establezcan contactos, compartan su trabajo entre ellos y se desarrollen como artistas. Las sesiones artísticas se han celebrado mensualmente desde enero de 2025, y el grupo de artistas ha reforzado sus habilidades en cada sesión. Para celebrar el crecimiento que estos artistas han experimentado durante el último año, expondrán sus obras en la galería de Wistariahurst. La recepción inaugural de Metamorphosis se celebrará el martes 6 de enero, de 16:30 a 18:30. Wistariahurst es un espacio acogedor para los artistas que fomenta la creatividad y apoya el crecimiento de los artistas de esta región. El horario de apertura de la galería será del 6 de enero al 24 de febrero, los lunes (de 10:00 a 14:00) y los martes (de 16:30 a 18:30), y será gratuito y abierto al público.
