Paintings by Bella Halsted

Bella Halsted is a painter and writer living in Amherst MA. After college and graduate work on the West Coast, she taught literature and writing in Italy and New York City for many years, before moving to Amherst for an advanced degree in international education. Staying on after her degree, she began teaching basic writing and freshmen courses in nonformal programs for adults, while working with the American Friends Service Committee, the Peace Development Fund, and, recently, the Markham/Nathan Fund of Northampton MA.
