Paste Paper Workshop

Antler Editions (1 Cottage Street Studio 512, Easthampton MA)

Students will design their own paste papers in this four hour workshop. Paste paper has been used by bookbinders since the late sixteen century. It is a great way to create unique textures and colors on paper, making each one different, or editioning the design for multiple books.

In this class you will explore four different pattern making techniques, and learn how to cook your own paste paper paste at home. Students will have to return to pick up their papers once dry, or pay to have them rolled and shipped. Materials provided.

Max class size 6.

Please note this class is for paste paper only, if you would like to learn binding techniques please sign up for the Paste Papers and Journals Class. Photo of books and slipcases are for the purpose of showing the papers only.
