BOMBYX Center for Arts & Equity (130 Pine Street, Florence MA)

Play Incubation Collective, a theater collective based in Western Mass, supporting under-resourced artists in our community, in collaboration with Sunny Allis and High Five Books, presents PIC Kids Fall Fest: Build Your World.

Be a part of the first public audience to sneak a peek at Sunny Allis’s inclusive new kids’ TV show, All Together Now! and be inspired to build your own colorful world. This LGBTQIA+ affirming multimedia show uses animation and live action to tell the story of a neighborhood of people coming together to share skills, interests, and resources and create projects out of recycled materials that uplift their community. There will be a Q&A with Sunny after the preview to hear more about how they created the show and where it will go next. After taking in all that inspiration, audience members get to choose from 3 hands-on workshops:

Build Your Own Cardboard Town with Sunny Allis (ages 6 to adult)
Starting with the prompt “what do you envision could help your community,” participants will design and create their own town (buildings, people, transportation, public space, flags) using recycled materials

*Create An Anthem with Carrie Ferguson (ages 6 to adult)
Carrie will lead participants through vocal improvisation and a songwriting exploration to create a group anthem for the world we’re building together.

*Hooray What a Day with Rachel F. Hirsch of Golden Bird (ages 0-5)
Rachel will lead caregivers and young children through an interactive and musical journey of Sunny Allis’s picture book, Hooray What a Day followed by creative sensory activities.

Throughout the entire event, discover awesome, diverse new reads about community and creativity, including Hooray What a Day, with High Five Books
