Rattle of the Sun: Local Author Gregg Orifici
Date/Time
Location
Greenfield Public Library (412 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301, Greenfield MA)
The Greenfield Public Library is pleased to welcome local author Gregg Orifice to our Conference Room on Tuesday, November 4 at 2:00 pm to talk about the connections between poetry and place, flowers and invasive weeds, the rapture of summer and the meditations of winter in New England and abroad.
*Rattle of the Sun* (July 2025) is an arresting, first-time poetry collection by Vermont-based poet and garden designer Gregg Orifici. One doesn’t often correlate poetry and gardening with the word “arresting,” but Orifici’s book of poems compiled over decades, experiments with language and invites the willing reader on a pilgrimage through flowering and feeling.
Gregg Orifici is a poet, memoirist, international educator and garden/landscape designer. His experiments with voice, structure and musicality commingle the intimate with the universal. He lives with his artist partner and four Jack Russells on a hilltop garden-in-progress in southern Vermont.
Books will be available for purchase at the event.
