Reed Foehl, a Vermont-based Americana artist, storyteller, and songwriter, has for many years let listeners in by offering something raw and relatable. His cinematic tales, delivered in what fellow singer-songwriter Mark Erelli describes as “an unassumingly sweet voice that is as conversational as it is tuneful,” are stories of everyday life, emotions and experiences but commonly feel extraordinary.

Having been born into a musical family and raised amidst the sounds of four-part harmony while being a student of the weekly gatherings in his parents’ living room for their band rehearsals with their country-western outfit, Reed’s path has, in some ways, always been clear. The journey, though, has been far from linear and Reed - as only artists can do - transforms his life experiences and observations into something for everyone. His delivery is uncontrived, his presence lacking pretense.

With co-write collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov and Brent Cobb, studio work with The Band of Heathens (members of which both co-produced and played on his latest two records, released in 2019 and 2022, respectively), and musical friendships from Boston to Boulder to British Columbia to Nashville, Reed has been called “the songwriter songwriters go out to see,” while Isakov himself once dubbed Reed “a true master” of the craft of songwriting.
