Titled The History of Hip Hop, this lecture demonstration is a 45-60 minute interactive presentation of various Street dance styles, including Campbell locking, Popping, Breaking, Hip Hop Proper, and House, and their associated sociopolitical and cultural histories. In addition to lecture, the dancers from Rennie Harris Puremovement American Street Dance Theater will physically demonstrate each style, complete with interactive elements with the audience!
