The **Techn0Suite** is an evening length experimental physical and digital dance work, whose themes focus around the inherent violence of society’s ever deepening connection to the digital world. It looks at how our identities and realities are being warped by our growing addiction to participate in social media, and other online realms. The Techn0Suite plays with how the internet has not only reshaped our social norms but also the ways in which we see ourselves and relate to others. Flowing through the Future, Present and Past, The Techn0Suite expands upon the questions of “Are we truly our curated internet identity?” “Does who we are online define us?” “Are we losing ourselves to the internet” and “What would the world look like without technology?” This piece is inspired by my solo from 2017 titled Techn0Whore, which explored identity and our dependence on the internet. In its completion*,* this hour-long piece will feature 9 dancers, along with 2 newly composed musical scores, by two different musicians. Half of the Techn0Suite will be centered online and involve a video projection that details the dancer’s online experiences. As this projection plays, the live dancers on the stage will be hooked up to virtual reality goggles. Their movements will correspond to the projection, which will allow the audience to see what the dancers are doing online. From creating avatars, exploring the metaverse and more, the audience will be along for the ride. As time passes in the Techn0Suite, dancers will trade Virtual Reality goggles for phones, for laptops, for home desktops, for old gaming systems, for landlines for letters, until we are at a time with no technology, or so we think.
