Silverback Swing to perform at Great Falls Coffeehouse

Silverback Swing plays swing music of the 20’s and 30’s, in the style of the great Belgian-born Roma guitarist, Django Reinhardt. This style of music combines traditional jazz elements with upbeat tempos and intricate guitar improvisation. The band's repertoire includes classic instrumentals of Django’s band, the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, as well as classic songs of the era. Music from French cafés of a bygone era.

Personnel include: Alton Lathrop, lead guitar; Mark Anagnostopulos, rhythm guitar and vocals; Gus Hollingsworth, accordion; and Steve Frankel, bass. 

Great Falls Discovery Center at 2 Avenue A, in downtown Turners Falls. 

Doors open at 6:30 pm.    Wheelchair accessible.

Suggested sliding scale donation $7–$20, free for children. No one is turned away

Coffee, tea and baked refreshments are available with donations.
