The Smith College Department of Music presents Songs from Women of Pan America with Rachel Velarde ’94, mezzo-soprano and Luis Rodriguez Morales, pianist. Velarde aims to introduce audiences to repertoire that fits securely into, yet found outside of, the standard Western Art Music song canon. This recital features songs of hope and love by women from North and South America. Free and open to the public. Masks welcome.
