Amherst artist **Bonnie Sennott** is exhibiting abstract embroideries and watercolors, including Daily Thread, a yearlong project for which she embroidered every day using colors observed in nature, creating a visual journal. Other daily embroidery pieces employ negative spaces to explore absence, loss, and the passing of time. Her abstract watercolors, based on the theme of “stones and water,” are also an ongoing daily art project. She is creating them as part of the 100 Day Project organized by author Suleika Jaouad and The Isolation Journals.

Artist’s statement:
___
I love to be outside—in the woods, hiking with my dogs, in the gardens by my house. About twenty years ago, I took a pastel landscape painting class, and began to combine my love of the natural world with painting. The paintings are done in pastel and, increasingly, oil paint. They are based in observation and sketching—some are finished *plein air*, and some in the studio.
