Today’s feature is *Moonstruck* (1987), a charming romantic comedy starring Cher as Loretta Castorini, a widowed Italian-American bookkeeper in Brooklyn who finds herself unexpectedly falling for her fiancé’s passionate and unpredictable brother, played by Nicolas Cage. As family secrets and old wounds resurface, Loretta is swept into a whirlwind of love, moonlight, and opera. Directed by Norman Jewison and featuring an Oscar-winning performance by Cher, Moonstruck is a witty and heartfelt celebration of love in all its messy, magical glory.
