TALK | Michael Winograd in conversation with Seth Rogovoy

Michael Winograd has been playing klezmer clarinet since he was 14 years old. Since that time, he has been engaged in dozens of Yiddish and other musical projects, including collaborations with Socalled, Frank London, Daniel Kahn & the Painted Bird, the Klezmer Conservatory Band, and Alicia Svigals. One of his more recent projects has been revisiting the landmark 1956 klezmer fusion album

TANZ!, by Sam Musiker, featuring the great, immigrant-era klezmer clarinetist Dave Tarras. Michael will re-create

TANZ!

live at Yidstock with a full band on Saturday at 8 pm. In conversation with

Seth Rogovoy, Michael will review his career and discuss what draws him to
