The Jazz Mesmerizers Play Jazz Standards -- and More!

 The Jazz Mesmerizers are a duo (Peter Sikowitz on guitar and Mark Frost on electric piano) that perform with the full sound of a quartet. Guitar and electric piano are played live while being accompanied by pre-recorded tracks with Mark also on digital drums and Peter playing bass. The sound is then mixed on a laptop computer and a full, realistic sound is delivered through a compact PA system. The set-up allows the Mesmerizers to perform in spaces large and (very) small.  And since the entire sound of the group is controlled with one volume knob, the music can be heard at a whisper level, or at a volume level on par with larger groups. This makes the Mesmerizers ideal for volume-sensitive surroundings where the music and jazz vibe of the group enhances the experience of conversing, eating, consuming cocktails (or

 mocktails : ), and general socializing. The result is an understated, pleasurable, cool (and somewhat ironic) musical experience.
