Dubbed a “Mini-Tanglewood” by the Berkshire Eagle, the Twenty-Third Annual Sugar Hill Folk Festival is thrilled to welcome songwriters Miles & Mafale (Long Island, NY), Rees Shad (Great Barrington, MA), Grace Morrison (Wareham, MA), Kate McDonnell (Albany, NY), and Jimmy Joe Natoli (Austin, TX).
This event is free, open to the general public, and appropriate for all ages. Feel Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. In case of rain the event will be moved inside the Crane Mansion at Sugar Hill.
Each year, singer songwriter Bernice Lewis carefully curates a mix of artists known to the region with acts that have not had the opportunity to perform in Western MA. She brings in a small sampling of what she has encountered in her decades of national and international touring.
This event is sponsored by Sugar Hill Senior Living Community, Massachusetts Cultural Council, The Dalton Cultural Council, The Hinsdale-Peru Cultural Council, The Dalton CRA. Additional funding is from the Katherine H.W. and Winthrop Murray Crane III Charitable Trust. Proceeds from the sale of refreshments will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
