Theater/Black Cat Theater/Sandy Toes The Play

South Hadley High School (153 newton street, South Hadley Falls, MA 01075)

Black Cat Theater, Inc., a community theater based in South Hadley, will present its second comedy of the year this June at South Hadley High School.  The show, Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses by Michael Parker and Susan Parker, will occur June 9-12.
“This is our second small cast comedy of this season,” said Board President Dick Matteson.  “We considered doing a larger show with more than the seven cast members in Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses, but, with the uptick in Covid cases, we felt that having a large cast crammed on the stage was not a good idea.”
The Lovers’ Landing Beach Hotel, a popular wedding destination, is the setting.  The cast of characters include Bubba, the uncle of the newfound owner, who has some extra-curricular activities going on; Beatrice Rutherford-Smythe (the epitome of the New England blue bloods), and her daughter Traci, who have come to check out the hotel for Traci's wedding; Peter Mudd, Traci’s fiancé; Audrina Brown, the new owner of the hotel; Candy, the flighty and bubbly hotel receptionist; and the mysterious Douglas DuPont.  A series of mix-ups causes interesting situations.  Some characters find themselves falling in love, others find themselves utterly confused. Will there be a wedding at Lover’s Landing?  Come, find out!
Directed by Cynthia Strycharz, the show will take place at South Hadley High School.  Performances will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 9, 10, 11 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, June 12 at 2:00 pm.
Masks will be required while inside South Hadley High School and throughout the performance.  If you have any questions regarding Black Cat Theater's Covid-19 safety precautions, please contact or 413-351-9411.
