Valley Jazz Voices Spring Concert

43 Main St. (43 Main Street, Easthampton MA)

Valley Jazz Voices is the longest-running, community jazz vocal ensemble in Western Mass. Now in its ninth year, the ensemble is staging its spring concert to share the love of jazz vocals with its community. Directed by Jeff Olmsted and accompanied by a professional jazz trio with Ellen Cogen on piano, George Kaye on bass and Jihian Cooper-Munoz on drums, the ensemble sings a wide range of songs from standards to modern arrangements of familiar songs to originals by director Jeff Olmsted. After the concert, it opens up to a singers’ open mic when singers are encouraged to bring their chart of a jazz standard and sing accompanied by the band.
