Vanessa Query is a director, writer, performer, and organizer based in Greenfield. She started making short films in Yellow Springs, Ohio over 10 years ago and has more recently made a few in this area.

ALIENATION (2019, Greenfield MA)
Part “Casper the Friendly Ghost,” part E.T., part David Lynch, “Alienation” is a science-fiction drama-comedy about an alien who is lost and looking for their way home. Trying to get help from the dominant sentient population (i.e. humans), they manage only to scare everyone. Will the alien ever find their way home?

LOCAL WOMAN STILL MISSING (2010, Yellow Springs OH)
A young man is mysteriously drawn to a library book, tucked into which is a 30-year-old newspaper clipping about a missing woman. An every-day visit to the library becomes a life-changing experience as the man sees visions of the woman struggling to escape an unseen villain, and the library is not all it seems to be.
