“The House of Memory: Jewish Stories from Jewish Women of Latin America” was the first anthology of Latin American Jewish women’s writing to be published in the United States. Marjorie Agosin, editor of the anthology, will be joined by Ruth Behar, Andrea Jeftanovic, Perla Sneh, and Nora Strejilevich, the Yiddish-speaking writers whose work was included in this ground-breaking collection. They’ll talk about the anthology and will read a few selections.
Presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center’s 2022 Decade of Discovery: Women in Yiddish. Co-presented with Wellesley College Jewish Studies Department.
